Kamden David Olson 6/21/13
Here is my labor story: (written July 23rd 2013)
I was scheduled to be induced on June 20th, I tried to get him to come out on his own before then by walking while pushing 40+ pound Easton around in a stroller up hills. However this little guy was stubborn! So I called at 6 AM on June 20th and was informed that they were to full due to lots of women going into labor on their own that night. They told me to call back at 9am and they would see if things had calmed down. Well I called back and was informed that I had been bumped to the following morning. I was so disappointed, I had been preparing myself mentally so it was really hard for me.
So with the help of a almost 4 mile walk to the park with Easton, Brandon bringing lunch home and keeping my mood up and then my Sister Emily coming over with my niece I was able to make it through the day. :)
Friday June 21st ( the first day of summer)
I was told to come in at 7 AM to be induced!! We arrived 30 min late for our own indcution! :) Those who know us know that is no big surprise. The nurse came in at 8 AM and got things started. Getting the IV started so that she could start the pitocin was no fun. I have horrible veins! On the first try she got a vein that was so painful that pain and tingling shot all the way down to my fingertips brought me to tears. It seriously hurt more than any of the contractions I felt! She tried again and got the vein but it was a painful stick and was not running very well so the anesthesiologist told her to move it. So another nurse came in and got it in my hand which was also painful and was not running well but they said it would do if I could tolerate it. So at about 8:30 Dr. England came in and said that I was at a 6CM already and then he broke my water. They told me that the anesthesiologist had a C-section that he was going into and then he would come out and give me my epidural. So basically we hung out until about 11 AM and my contractions gradually got stronger but were tolerable. The anesthesiologist came in just as the contractions were getting strong. The epidural went well thanks to Brandon distracting me!
The nurse then left us for about an hour and a half. When she came back around 12:40 she checked me and told me that I was fully effaced and dialated to a 10 and ready to push. The next thing I knew Dr. England was in the room and told me to start pushing! Less than 10 min later at exactly 1:00pm We delivered a healthy baby boy weighing 8lbs 13oz and 21 in long!
We had 3 names we liked and when we saw him we decided Kamden David Olson was it! I was able to hold him as soon as they cleaned him off and his temp was running low so they wanted me to do skin on skin! I bonded instantly with him! He came out literally looking for food! I had no problems at all with breast feeding him!
We were taken to my room about 1 hr after I had him and my epidural had already almost worn off! It was so nice to be able to move on my own. We of course had the family come meet him and then I was able to rest! We stayed 2 days so we were able to go home on the 23rd.
Kamden had his nights and days mixed up. It took a few weeks to get him to sleep better. He was a cluster feeder at night from 6-10 pm he wants to be fed a ton and held the whole time! It's really hard cause it leaves no time for Brandon and I to spend together. But I would not trade this miracle for the world!
I have begun to sleep train him and he is doing pretty good with naps during the day! He loves to cuddle and honestly I do it as often as I can! I literally can not get enough of him!

23 weeks!
Well I am 23 1/2 weeks! Can't believe I am more than half way there! It is SO fun to feel our sweet baby boy move around! He loves to move at night before I go to bed and this week I can see my stomach move with his movements. I am completely in nesting mode already! I want everything cleaned and spotless and all the stuff ready for him. :) lucky for me Brandon has been willing to help me get things ready!

17 weeks almost 1/2 way
Wow, 17 weeks along! Went to the doctor last week and our little ones heart rate was 150! Our next visit on February 4th we will do the anatomy ultrasound and found out the gender! Can't wait, for now we have been buying both boy and girl things! However, Easton keeps telling me it is a girl. I feel like I have more energy now so that has been nice!
Easton had his 4 year well check! He weighed 40lbs and was 41 1/2 inches tall! He is in the 80th percentile for height and 70th for weight! Can't believe how quick he is growing!

12 weeks!!
Went to the doctors today for my 12 week check up! The baby looked healthy and was measuring right on. Heart beat was 160! So grateful that things are looking so good! As far as symptoms go honestly I have not had many surprisingly. Besides the fatigue that is somewhat letting up I feel great! I am definitley showing, this little one wants to let everyone know that they are in there. I have been showing since about 7 weeks but it just looked like blubber. Now it is all round. I go back in 4 weeks for my 16 week check and then at 19 weeks they will do my big ultrasound to check everything and the gender! Yay! Until next time

Coming JUNE 2013
I am 9 1/2 weeks pregnant! We have had multiple ultrasounds and have heard the heart beat a couple of times! Words can not describe our gratitude!!
Infertility update
We are so excited to announce that I am 4 weeks pregnant! Barely pregnant but already so much has happened! This morning 10/15/2012 I got the results of my 2nd Beta Quantitative HCG blood test! My # more than doubled and went up to 181!! My doctors office was very happy with this # and told me to follow up at 6 weeks for a Ultra Sound to check for Viability! We could not be Happier! We have waited 3 1/2 years for this!Symptoms:Mega Fatigue,Food aversions,Cramping/ pulling pains, back pain,Easton's response to the news: "So the baby is not with Jesus anymore?" us: "no" Easton: "Ok!" Such a kid response! He has been asking us for the past few months "when is the baby is coming out of mommy's tummy or Can I go get the baby from Jesus?"This evening at 9:30pm Dr. Peterson called me and said that he was happy with the increase in my number but due to my history he would like me to repeat one more beta tomorrow. He also wanted to increase my Progesterone to 200mg a day. Then see me at 6 weeks for a US.10/16 (4 weeks 2 days)I went and had my blood work drawn this morning at 11:30 am. I received a call from Dr. Peterson's office informing me that my number went up to 266. So it did not double like it should and was only a 47% increase. I informed her that I woke up early this morning with sharp pains in my lower right pelvic area but that it subsided. She told me that she would call Dr. Peterson and call me right back. When she called back she informed me that Dr. Peterson wants to do another blood test on 10/18 and also tomorrow morning have me come in for a US at his office. They are concerned due to my history of multiple miscarriages and also ectopic pregnancy. Well I was at work when I found all of this out and I was devastated! I immediately called Brandon and broke down. He was so disappointed but was so supportive and told me to stay positive. I decided it would be best if I went home for the day. So I have just been laying in bed praying and hoping that things will turn around and we will be able to have a happy and healthy baby. 10/17 (4 weeks 3 days)At 7:45am we went to our appointment with Dr. Peterson. He did an US and said that I had 2 very large cysts. One on each side. The one on the Right had ruptured and there was free fluid from it. He said that is most likely what caused me so much pain. The one on the left has not ruptured yet. Then he looked at my Uterus and said that he saw a "probable sac" measuring at 5 weeks. He looked at my Right and only tube and said he did not see an obvious Ectopic pregnancy. SO the plan he says is to watch this pregnancy VERY closely. I do another HCG tomorrow 10/18 as well as a Progesterone level. He said that if my numbers double and if my Progesterone level is at least a 15 then the pregnancy should be fine. If my progesterone is 5 or less then it is not a normal pregnancy and we will discuss possibly ending the pregnancy. Brandon and I were very grateful to hear that it was not a ectopic and also to know the actual cause for my pain. We still do not have a definite answer so the pregnancy could go either way. We know that we just have to trust in the the Lords will and stay as positive as we can. So for the rest of the day Easton and I just relaxed and watched a movie and played a game! Then once Brandon got home we got to go to the hospital and meet our new niece Chanley! Eaaton was SO excited to hold her! he could not keep hos hands off of her! so cute! congrats to my Brother Tyler and Whitney! Until tomorrow...
10/18 (4weeks 4days)Went in for my HCG and Progesterone today at 11:50am. Was notified that my HCG is 461! Which is a 73% rise so that is good. She said they had not yet received my Progesterone level. I called my Ob's office just before they closed and she said my level was 22. Well since Dr. Peterson said anything above a 15 was good we are content. Dr. Peterson would like me to do another HCG 10/20 and if that goes up then we will go in Friday Oct 26 and do a UltraSound.10/19 (4 weeks 5 days)This morning I got a call from Dr. Peterson's office. She says they got my Progesterone level back and it was a 69, which was great! I was so confused since My OB had just told me yesterday it was 22! Turns out that that my OB was looking at my number from last year. Anyways, we were go happy to know that my number was great!10/20 (4 weeks 6 days)Went in today for my HCG. I called Dr. Peterson's office but they closed at 11am. They were so nice and paged the on call Dr for me. Dr. Johnstone was on call and she called me back less than 5 minutes later. She was so nice. She told me she had not yet received the results but would watch for them today and call me if she received them. If she did not receive them then she would call me tomorrow morning, Well she called and left me a message at 6 pm tonight and informed me that my HCG level was 1320!! So it was a great rise! It almost tripled! We could not be more excited! We truly feel like this is a miracle! We go next week for a ultra sound and pray that all is alright!10/23 (5 weeks 2 days)I called Dr. Peterson's office this morning because he asked me to call if my pain continued. I have still had R lower abdomen/pelvic pain that is sharp and it happens about 2-4 times a day and lasts for about 10 minutes. I talked with the nurse and she said she would talk to Dr. Peterson and get back to me. Tonight at 9:30pm Dr. Peterson called me and said that if I am having pain then they need to see me tomorrow. He said he is out of the office but one of his partners can see me. I am hoping it is just the Ovarian cysts.10/24 (5 weeks 3 days)I called Dr. Peterson's office this morning and they want to see me today at 2:15 with Dr. Hammoud. Not sure we will see much on this Ultrasound but hoping they can at least rule out a ectopic. So this is what we saw!A sac and yolk sac in the uterus!!! I am measuring 6 weeks so just about right on schedule. He says that I still have cysts on my ovaries and the one on my left is about the size of an orange so that is why I am still having pain. He said the reason the cyst is getting so much bigger is because I have such a healthy pregnancy that my hormones are making the cyst bigger. We are SO excited! We will see Dr. Peterson next week on October 31st for a Ultrasound to check for the heart beat! YAY! Now we just hope and pray that all will go well and that our little one will continue to grow!
