Yesterday I had a positive urine pregnancy test. (I actually took 3 of them) So I called my OB office and they said they wanted to get me on Progesterone, do a quantitative blood test to make sure my levels double and then see me at 7 weeks. Honestly I could not bring myself to get to excited since I did not want to have my hopes dashed. We were of course happy but want to wait until the blood tests and ultrasound are through to make sure all is ok. I took another test this morning and it was also positive. My OB office called me this afternoon and said that the blood test came back negative! (my # was 2 and anything less than 5 is considered neg) SERIOUSLY?? You have got to be kidding me! I want to scream right now! They want me to do another blood test tomorrow and see what that says. I should have started either this morning or tomorrow.
So there are 2 possiblities:
1~HCG leaves your blood then it leaves your urine. So that would mean that my Urine pregancy tests were positive since the HCG was still in there and my blood test was negative since I had already miscarried!
2~I am just REALLY early on in pregnancy and my levels just are not registering yet!
#1 is the much more likely possibility. I guess only time will tell! I normally spot 1-2 days before I start and I have not had any spotting yet.
SO FRUSTRATED!!
