Uh oh!

This makes for a very memorable story so I felt that I should post about it! Enjoy!

Last week we returned from Disneyland. On my way to work after dropping Easton off at my mom's house, my car decided to stop! Well I pulled over to the side of the road and immediately realized that my car was completely out of gas! My low gas light came on the day before after we got home from vacation but I was running late that morning and needed to hurry so I just figured that I would get gas later that day. Well I called Brandon of course and he just laughed and told me that he would come and bring me some gas. I was literally on 1/2 a mile from work and home and also about 1 mile from Brandon's work so in that sense I was extremely lucky. Well about 20 min later I still had not seen Brandon so I decided to call him. He answers the phone with "you are not going to believe what happened to me, the malibu ran out of gas as well." I seriously did not believe him until he told me that he had to literally push his car into a parking lot with a kind stranger who offered to help him!!! by this time I was already 30 minutes late for work, so I called my wonderful friend and neighbor Mame and asked her for some help. She called another neighbor of ours and was able to find a gas can, get some gas and then bring it to me. Well we did not put the eniter gallon and a half into my car because I knew that I needed to take some gas to Brandon. What I did not realize is that a gallon and a half of gas for 2 completely empty tanks of gas if definately not enough to do any good. So Brandon put the 1/4 of a gallon of gas that I brought him in his car and of course it was enough to start the car for all of 2 seconds. Well we decided that now that I was an 1 hour late for work Brandon would keep the Gas can and borrow one of his coworkers cars to go and get gas for his car. I headed back up the massive hill that goes to my work and was seriously going maybe 20 miles an hour to try and make it just to the gas station!!!!
In the end I was able to get gas and so was Brandon. Needless to say I will NEVER ignore that warning light again, obviously the warning is there for a reason. And yes Dad and Mom you did always tell me to never let my gas get below 1/4 a tank! Thanks Mame and Audrey!
