Worst mother ever!!

This post is a bit late but I wanted to remember this event. So on Monday April 26th, I took Easton and headed over to the local Chevron to fill the car up with gas. Well wanting to give Easton something to play with while I filled up the gas tank, I gave him the car keys that he just normally shakes to hear the sound that they make. He has never been able to push the buttons on the car keys so I really did not give it a 2nd thought. He sat in his car seat and played with the keys and I closed the car door to wash the windows while the gas tank was filling up. Once I was done and the gas was done filling up, I went to open the door to get the keys from him and realized that the door was locked! I looked in the window a little worried and freaking out and there sat Easton just contently playing with his seat belt. I asked him through the window where the car keys were and he found them on his side, I told him to push the button and he just giggled while he dropped them down the side of the door. Brandon was gone coaching a baseball game, So I tried to call my neighbor in hopes that she might be able to go to my house and bring me the spare car keys. I got no answer. Next I called my mother-in-law to see if she could get the house key from Brandon and come bring me the spare car keys. She said she would and in the mean time I decided to run into the store and see if they had a jimmy to possibly get the door unlocked. They did but I also decided to call Brandon. I was worried that he would be upset but instead he just calmly told me to call On Star and have them remotely unlock the car for me! DUH, I totally forgot that we had on star and seriously did not realize that they could do this. So I thanked the nice gas store worker and then asked them if they had the # to on star. A lady that worked there heard me and told me that a guy that had just left actually had left his on star paperwork sitting on the counter so she gave me the #. I immediately called On Star and was SOOOO impressed at how fast they were able to unlock my car for me. Easton of course was just fine and completely oblivious to the situation! I seriously felt like the worst mother!

I didn't know that happened. That is so great that you had On Star, and it is so cool what they can do!
