Potty training time?!?

Easton is 20 months old and the past 2 weeks has started to inform us when he is going to the bathroom. So we started putting him on the "big boy potty" to see how he would do with it. He has been very proud that he can sit there but really has not gone yet. Well tonight I put him in the bathtub and he started to act like he really had to go potty. So I asked him if he needed to and he told me no. Well next thing I know he started to pee in the tub. I told him that he was peeing and that is something that we do in the big boy potty. I got him out of the tub and put him on the potty and we are so proud to say that HE WENT POTTY!! We made sure to let him know that was really good and even gave him a treat!! He drank his milk and before I realized it he went pee in his diaper and it really does not seem to bother him that he has a dirty diaper yet. Now the trick is, is he really ready or just starting to maybe learn about it?

On another note, this past weekend Brandon's work had Lagoon day! We were excited because we figured Easton would be old enough to try some of the rides. Well I took him on a ride that spins you around and he really did not like that. BIG MISTAKE! He would not try another ride after that! Not even the little boats or the Carousel! Definitely learned from that mistake! But we had fun anyways! He did get to ride the train and he really enjoyed that! We are really lucky, he loves to go for rides in his stroller so he did not even make a fuss about it.

August is not as busy as July was for us but we do have quite a few things going on during the weekends so I will make sure to update soon!

I AM SO JEALOUS!!! That is awesome that he is at least recognizing when he needs to go, and that he likes the potty. I think Luke would probably be ready...but I didn't want to change something else up on him after we already took away the binky, put him in a big boy bed, and he got a little brother :) I think it will just be when I get sick of changing two kids diapers, and when he is really ready :) Way to go Easton! By the way I know you offered to take pictures, and you are so sweet to do that! Our friends that we have been using forever did take some newborn pics, so I think I will take you up on that offer when he is a little bigger if that is okay?
