February 2011

This month has been pretty much the usual. The weather has been a bit weird. One day it is really warm the next you have 5 inches of snow on the ground. Which I guess is kind of nice since it makes for a variety of outdoor activities. Because of the variations in weather we have been able to take Easton out on the warm days to ride his little power bike and then bundle him up on the snow days and play in the snow.

Earlier this month we had a family day and went to see Gnomeo and Juliet. Easton was just entertained sitting in his seat and eating his popcorn. I think he ate half the bucket! He was so good to sit through the entire movie! For Valentines Day Easton and I had my friend April who does photography take some pictures of just the 2 of us so that we could surprise Brandon and put them on his desk at work. It was fun getting some pics taken with my little man, especially since I am the one usually taking the pics. Last week we did decide to take Easton out to the airport to watch the airplanes. We just parked at the golf course and watched the planes take off. He thought it was to cool to see the the planes. He would tell us "look a big one"! Daddy also decided to let him "drive" ie only the steering wheel, in the empty parking lot. He would tell Brandon to go fast so Brandon would push the gas and it would put an ear to ear smile on his face!!

Today we woke up to 6 or so inches of snow. So we took Easton out to play of course. Easton loved his dad throwing snowballs at him and he made sure to get dad back. He of course had to take Lightning McQueen and Mater out to play with him. He would throw them into the snow and then dig them out! Brandon decided to build Easton an igloo or as Easton calls it a "Fort". He thought is was the greatest thing that he could hide in the snow.

We are working hard to focus on getting our debts paid off so that we can work towards putting money away for a house. So we do alot more things at home to save on gas and to keep us from spending money at the stores. The weather sure has made staying at home alot easier.

Brandon and I were able to attend the temple last week. It has been a little while since we have been. It is alot harder to get there now that we have a little one. I absolutely love the spirit that we feel when we are there and the way it stays with you throughout the week! We are so blessed to have so many temples near by! We have been working more on our marriage and this month has been so amazing. I feel so horrible but I have found myself becoming more and more selfish over the years. This month I have been working on this and it has changed my attitude so much. I am amazed at how much you can truly love someone! I look forward to Eternity with the Love of my life!!

We have 2 family weddings this year. My brother Dustin is getting Married April 30th and my Sister Emily is getting married June 24th. It has been fun to help plan their weddings with them. They have both asked me to take both their engagements and bridals. I really enjoy any opportunity that I get to take pictures so I am excited. I took Dustin and Gabby's Engagements at the end of January. They are so easy going that we just had fun and started at Wheeler farm and then roamed around downtown salt lake.

Easton does the funniest things and I always tell myself that I need to write them down so I do not forget and of course I never do. Lately at bedtime he likes to play a little "basetball" ie basketball. He has the cutest little stance that he does to shoot the ball! He really can shoot the ball in the hoop and he is so proud when he does. The past month or two he has become really entertained with our dog Knoxy. He thinks that it is so funny to chase her around the house and torture her. She will even give him a little growl to let him know she is annoyed or bark but he just thinks that is even funnier. She is such a good dog and would not do anything to hurt him of course. She even tries to hide under our bed to get away from him for a minute. I figure it wears them both out! :) We recently started reading scriptures with Easton, he loves this part of the night and makes sure to remind us of this routine. He gets his nursery manual that has pictures of Jesus and looks at those while we read the scriptures to him! I love that he knows who Jesus is. We got him DJ, a car from the movie Disney Cars, for Valentines day. Ever since then he repeats this part from the movie "Selves a nodder" interpretation "Hey yo DJ, we got ourselves a nodder" It is so funny. He takes one of his cars everywhere we go, plays with them ALL day long, and they have to sleep on his train table in his room. He currently LOVES top ramen noodles. He would eat them every day if we would let him.

Well here are LOTS of pictures from our adventures this month!
