Christmas and the end of 2011

No snow for Christmas! :( I was pretty bummed about that! Easton got a Elf on the Shelf from Brandon's parents and he named him Chippy. He sort of got the concept that he had to be good so Chippy could report to Santa each night. He would whisper to Chippy what he wanted for Christmas and tell him to tell Santa. Chippy would bring little presents back from Santa every couple of mornings and Easton loved that. He wrote a letter to Santa with his list and even got a letter back from Santa. We took him to the mall to sit on Santa's lap and he did good and smiled for the camera. In years past he would put on his grouchy face and not say a word or smile. We took him to see the lights at Temple Square and it was so cold that he really did not care to much for it, but I thought it was beautiful. Not the same without snow though.

Christmas eve is Brandon's birthday, He turned the big 30 this year! We went to The Cheesecake Factory for lunch with Brandon's family. It was very yummy of course. Then we had cake (a rice Krispie one) and presents at our house. Then we headed to our parents houses for Christmas eve. My Mom was released from the hospital Christmas Eve afternoon after over 14 weeks of being there!!!!! It was really nice to be able to see her at home and she was SO happy to be home. We finished the night at Brandon's parents opening our exchanged names gifts.

Christmas turned out great! Easton LOVED opening his presents and was very excited about what he got. He was very into the whole Santa thing this year which really made it SO much fun for us. He got a Disney Cars themed Christmas (Surprise surprise)! We spent the day with family and enjoyed the holiday!

New Years we headed to The Hub in Heber for our traditional New Year's eve breakfast! It was very yummy! Then we relaxed during the day and went and visited family that evening. We were home and in bed by 10:30! I am really looking forward to this new year of 2012 and really hoping that things turn out much better!
